One thing sorely missing from most LS forums was something carved out for non-trads, so here you go! I'm 40, URM, and will enter LS at 43, and will have my JD at 46. So yeah, I'm most definitely a non-trad My goals are built around the less debt is better concept, so though I'd love UCLA or USC, I gotta smash the LSAT and maintain the 3.9 so I can get some $ with those fries. If I can't nail down at least 50% scholarship at either, I'll have to pass and focus on a 75%-100% scholarship at UCI, Pepperdine or LMU. No debt, baby, no debt. What's your story and goals as a non-trad?

not old at all, my uncle went to ls at 60! he hung his own shingle and makes serious dough doing defense and injury work in sacramanto. are you going solo?
good idea about debt, that's my goal too, i dont think its exclusive to old guys, we all need to keep the debt low in this market.

Thanks, jd. Yeah, going solo after I spend a couple years at PD or DA, hopefully. Want to get my feet wet first.
